Located in the heart of the Yarraville Village is Eleni’s Kitchen + Bar, an Authentic Greek Restaurant.

Named after the family’s matriarch Eleni, who opened her first restaurant, the original Eleni’s Kitchen in Yarraville back in 1971. Eleni's Kitchen + Bar today, is owned by her two granddaughters Anatoli and Eleftheria, the next generation of the Amanatidis family, continuing their Yiayia Eleni's legacy.

The Amanatidis family has a long history in Yarraville. They have been and continue to be active members of their community, whilst owning a number of cafes and restaurants in the village over the last 50 years.

Creative House was Uncle Nick’s Delicatessen, Little Advieh was Uncle Tony’s Pizza shop, Café Terroni was their Grandad’s Butcher Shop, and L’uccellino’s was their Uncle Nick’s coffee shop, all right next door to each other! The Yarra Lounge situated opposite the Sun Theatre is where Yiayia Eleni opened her Greek restaurant in 1971.

Yiayia Eleni's original restaurant menu is what Eleni's Kitchen + Bar serves to this day, along with Modern Greek dishes, which you will find on their specials board each week.

Greek food is what the Amanatidis family does best and their passion for high quality ingredients, seasonal produce and traditional cooking is only surpassed by their warm «σάν στό σπίτι σού» hospitality and their legendary monthly Greek Tavern Nights, which makes Eleni's one of the most popular and loved Greek hospitality venues in Melbourne.
